Martin is a writer, singer and guitarist based on the North Yorkshire Coast. He is an ex-mental health nurse (RMN) and has been writing since 2014. He has had published his love letter to the sea (The Sea – My New Friend), which appeared in the popular health magazine (The Hub www.hubpublishing.co.uk) and on the BBC’s very own Julia Bradbury’s website (www.theoutdoorguide.co.uk). Martin is also working on a collection of short stories/experiences, as well as a children’s book and a guide to the East Yorkshire Coast.

Ingleton Falls: This lovely trail walk is a real treat, although all paths are a bit hilly, going up and down gorges. That said, it is easy for dogs and their owners.
An often overlooked area for walking in the Lakes: This is not for the faint-hearted, as the route tackles the highest mountain pass in the Lakes, the mighty Kirkstone Pass, also known as ‘The Struggle.’
