What a wonderful walk in the Dales

Ingleton Falls

This lovely trail walk is a real treat, although all paths are a bit hilly, going up and down gorges. That said, it is easy for dogs and their owners. Beware, though, as some areas require you to put your dog on their lead due to livestock. It takes around one and half hours to complete and can be busy on weekends in the summer.

Tan Hill Inn

The famous Tan Hill Inn featured in the Dales book hit the headlines recently when guests attending an Oasis Tribute concert were snowed in for several days after Storm Arwen hit.

Most famously known as the highest pub in Britain at 1,732 feet above sea level, this fabulous inn appears on my list for two other reasons. Firstly, I have had the pleasure of performing my music here on a number of occasions but secondly and more importantly, it serves one of the best pints of Theakston’s Old Peculier I have ever had!
